Company Background
At AB Mauri we have a passion for baking! The science behind baking is at the heart of our business where our expertise and capabilities cut across the whole range of bakery applications. Our strength is based on our intimate knowledge of the bakery industry and bakery ingredients. We take a holistic approach to baking and strive to achieve excellence in formulation and product design.
AB Mauri in the Philippines was formed in 2004 by combining the bakery ingredients business of Associated British Foods with the yeast and bakery ingredients companies from Burns Philp of Australia.
AB Mauri Philippines, Inc., formerly Pilmico-Mauri Foods Corporation was established in 1995 after a joint venture between Aboitiz-owned flour milling company, Pilmico Foods Corporation and the premier yeast producer in the world, Burns Philp Limited Mauri Fermentation of Australia. Later in 2004, Burns Philp sold its yeast division to ABF Overseas, a subsidiary of UK-based Associated British Food plc (ABF). In November 30, 2006, ABF bought out Pilmico’s stake in Pilmico-Mauri, thereby taking full control of the yeast and bakery ingredients company.
And on May 25, 2007, AB Mauri Philippines, Inc. was officially born to cater to the growing demands of the yeast and bakery ingredients market.
AB Mauri Philippines thrives on distributing world-class bakery products that cater to the ever-changing demands of the Philippine market. With a nationwide sales network covering Metro Manila, Luzon,Visayas and Mindanao, our product reach encompasses both the largest bakeshop chains and even start-up pastry shops.
